Bajaj India Merakit Ninja 650 R
Brader sekalian sumber otomotif mengatakan bahwa Bajaj Auto, mitra Kawasaki di India, ditengarai akan merakit Ninja 650R di dalam negeri. CKD dilakukan agar harga Ninja 650R bisa bersaing dengan bandrol Hyosung GT 650R yang segera mendarat di Gujarat. GT 650R sendiri 
diprediksi akan mematok harga sekitar 400.000 hingga 500.000 rupee (sekitar Rp 76,5 juta – 95,7 juta). Media di India berspekulasi Kawasaki akan segera memasarkan Ninja 650R di India pada 2-3 bulan ke depan. Menurut sumber di Bajaj, seluruh komponen Ninja 650R akan diimport langsung dari Jepang dan dirakit di fasilitas pabrik Chakkan, seperti yang telah dilakukan untuk Ninja 250R.
Ninja 650R sebetulnya merupakan model yang telah lama mengisi pasar global. Dengan mesin 2-silinder 649cc 4-stroke DOHC fuel injection tenaga maksimum yang dihasilkan mencapai 72 hp, nampaknya memang saingan sekelas bagi Hyosung 650 dengan spek mesinnnya yang bejaban Berikut spek msin Hyosung:

Nampak di sini bahwa power masih besar Hyosung 7 hp, namun memang faktor lain masih menjadi bahan pertimbangan, mengingat Ninja adalah brand kawasaki yang sudah mengakar di India, sedangkan Hyosung masih merupakan pemain baru dari Korea
