Qualifikasi GP Catalunya 2011, Simoncelli Moncer
Brader sekalian, sungguh luar biasa Simoncelli, didera dengan berbagai cercaan dan spekulasi hukuman, namun tetep saja moncer di sirkuit. Ya, Qualifikasi GP Catalunya 2011 kali ini dipimpin oleh Simoncelli dengan perolehan waktu 1’42.413, kemudian disusul Stoner dan Lorenzo. Simoncelli meraih fastest Lap pada lap 25 dengan waktu 1’42.413 dan rata-rata speed 166.2 Km/h.
Ini setidaknya menjawab kepercayaan Big Bos Honda Racing Team yang hendak memperpanjang kontraknya. Dan juga ia ingin menunjukkan pada dunia bahwa meski syarat dengan kontroversi namun dia juga syarat dengan prestasi dan layak diperhitungkan dan bukan hanyalayak dicerca saja. Boleh jadi bagi Simoncelli ini sebuah awal yang bagus mengingat bahwa kalu ia berada dibelakang dan menyalip para rider lain akan riskan, maka coba ketika dia di depan sendirian mau ngebut seperti apapun toh tak akan membahaayakan rider lain kecuali ia ndlosor dan ketabrak rider lain.
Sementara itu Rider Ducati yang tadinya masih bermasalah dengan setingan ban, kini nampaknya sudah mulai manteb. Rossi finis di urutan 7 dan Hayden di posisi 8, not bad lah masih ada harapan untuk marringsek ke depan. Berikut hasil lengkapnya dari webnya MotoGP:
