Brader sekalian ada sebuah rumor kabar tak sedap dari indian cars bike bahwa menurut salah seorang testernya si Duke 200 ini mentok di 10.000 RPM dan kecepatannya pol sampek 127 kph gara-gara limitter yang tertanam di dalamnya. Ya baru-baru ini kan si Duke dikabarkan bisa tembus 150 KPH, namun sungguh aneh review Indiancarbikes ini. BErikut ini statmen seorang testernya kangmas Alan Cathcart, test rider yang  mereview KTM Duke 200. “The KTM Duke 200 hit an indicated 127 Kph in sixth gear before the rev limiter kicked in at 10,000 rpm”.

BElum diketahui apakah Bajaj bener-bener memasang limitter ini pada DUke 200 atau memang dipasang pas sesi tes saja. Weh bila hanya sampek  127 kph ini sungguh runyam, pasalnya kabar terakhir powernya sampai 26 Hp, dan berat keringnya hanya 122 kg sedangkan berat fullnya sampai 144,5 kg. Weee bisa kuciwa para penggemar nih!!!!!!!!!!!

Weit tapi jangan kecewa dulu, meski benar ada limitter boleh jadi memang testernya nggak jago merunut gearnya sehingga mentok di 10.000 rp cuma dapat 127 kph, pasalnya P 220 ketika ridernya jago bisa tembus 124 kph hanya pada 8000 rpm, apalagi Duke yang 26 HP.

Nah berikut ini review terbaru tentang spek si Duke 200 ini, yang gape bahasa Inggris Monggo:

* The KTM Duke 200 uses radial tyres developed by MRF specially for the KTM Duke. No Metzelers for the Indian Duke. Also, the front radial tyre for the Duke 200 is apparently the first motorcycle radial front tyre to be made in India.

* The upside down front forks and the rear monoshock is made by Pune based Endurance Systems, under license from WP Austria. Now, that is another wad of money saved there.

* The KTM Duke 200′s 199.5cc four stroke single cylinder engine is rev limited to 10,000 rpm and weighs a mere 28 kilograms. The engine produces 26 Bhp of peak power at 10,000 rmm and 19.5 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.

* This engine has been jointly developed by KTM and Bajaj’s Research and Development wings.

* The liquid cooled, DOHC, four valve engine is built at Bajaj’s Chakan plant, off Pune. So, the KTM Duke 200 might carry forward the classic Bajaj tradition of affordable spare parts.

* The 200cc engine shares most of the parts from the 125cc engine including the crankcase. The vital parts which are different are the cylinder head, valves, piston, crankshaft assembly and the bigger 43mm Dell’orto throttle body.

* And the cost savings just continue as the alloy wheels of the Duke 200 are made-in-China by Jingfi.

* Expect powerful braking with a quad piston 300 mm front disc and a single piston 230mm rear disc. The brakes are manufactured by ByBre, Brembo’s Indian arm. Some more cost savings here.

* A gear indicator makes it to the KTM Duke 200′s instrumentation console.

* 150mm suspension travel at both the front and the rear means that the Duke 200 will be on many dual purpose riders’ wish list.

* Dry weight is 122 Kg and kerb weight is 134.5 Kg. Lightest 150cc+plus motorcycle in India?

* Now, to the average kya hai question. KTM claims 30 Kmpl for the KTM Duke 200.
