Mungkin beberapa dari brader sekalian ada yang kurang ngeh dengan Vtec atau IDS-i, hehe JamesBOns sendiri sebenarnya juga tidak ahli betull, namun ya sekedar share gan. Yup sebenarnya mas Bro mau ids-i atau vtec mirip sih baik menghadapi tanjakan, turunan, datar ngga masalah, yang bikin beda paling menonjol adalah di masalah akselerasi dan kick effect tenaganya, hal ini terutama akan kerasa pas dipakai di jalan tol. Saat memakai ids-i, efek tendangan ngga begitu kerasa, karena akselerasi tenaga mesin mengalir sempurna secara bertahap di tiap perpindahan gigi. Hal ini sungguh beda ketika saat memaki vtec, saat mas Bro akan overtake mobil di depan, cobain deh susul dengan akselerasi tiba-tiba, si mobil bagai ditepak/ditendang tenaga luar biasa dari arah belakang untuk lebih cepat.
Untuk konsumsi bahan bakar, kabarnya masih unggul mesin ids-i wajar karena tenaganya tidak menghentak.

jadi dalam satu silinder ada dua busi ( persis kaya motor bajaj pulsar tds-i )

itu adalah mekanisme pengatur katup masuk bahan bakar pada tiap silinder mesin, setiap mesin punya putaran yang beda2, ada yang putaran rendah, ada yang putaran tinggi, nah selama ini putaran itu hanya bergantung pada putaran engkol mesin ( DOHC ) atau twin cam, nah dengan vtec putaran itu diatur secara mekanis dan elektris jadi tergantung pada besaran tenaga yang dibutuhkan, ga melulu dari putaran mesin bisa katupnya yang memanjang untuk memberi pasokan campuran bensin dan udara atau memberikan mekanisme pengaturan katup yang berbeda ketika putaran tinggi.
