AHM Raih Penghargaan Word of Mouth Marketing 2014, Oress Release
Jakarta – Sepeda motor Honda kembali menjadi merek yang paling banyak dibicarakan dan direkomendasikan masyarakat seiring dengan keberhasilan PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) meraih penghargaan Word of Mouth Marketing (WOMM) 2014. Pencapaian ini mencerminkan penerimaan positif masyarakat terhadap produk motor Honda.
Penghargaan WOMM 2014 diberikan oleh Lembaga Riset Onbee Marketing Research dan Majalah SWA di Intercontinental Ballroom, Hotel Mid Plaza Jakarta (23/6). AHM meraih penghargaan ini untuk keempat kalinya di semua kategori sepeda motor.
Honda Supra yang dikenal sebagai Rajanya Motor Bebek dinobatkan menjadi sepeda motor bebek yang paling banyak dibicarakan dan direkomendasikan. Penghargaan WOMM 2014 juga diraih pada kategori sepeda motor matik melalui Honda Vario dan kategori sepeda motor sport melalui Honda Tiger.
GM Marketing and Planning Analysis A. Indraputra menyatakan kualitas produk yang baik serta pengalaman berinteraksi dengan sepeda motor Honda yang menyenangkan menjadi parameter kuat sehingga menjadikan sepeda motor Honda dibicarakan dan direkomendasikan oleh masyarakat.

Penghargaan yang sudah dilaksanakan ke-6 kalinya sejak tahun 2009 ini diberikan kepada pemenang berdasarkan hasil survei WOMM yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Di tahun 2014 ini, survei WOMM dilakukan secara tatap muka menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur pada periode Maret-April 2014. Sebanyak 1.799 responden dari 7 wilyah di Indonesia yaitu Jabodetabek, Surabaya, Semarang, Bandung, Denpasar, Makassar, dan Medan.
Pemenang ditentukan berdasarkan skor WOMM Index tertinggi di tiap kategori produk. Skor ini dihitung dari fungsi word of mouth dan fungsi jejaring sosial. Fungsi word of mouth sendiri terdiri dari tiga variabel yaitu talk (sejauh mana merek menarik untuk dibicarakan), promotion (bagaimana produk direkomendasikan), danselling (bagaimana pembicaraan tentang produk yang direkomendasikan mampu mengkonversi orang lain untuk membeli produk). Sedangkan, pada fungsi jejaring sosial, survei WOMM menunjukkan sejauh mana penyebaran sebuah merek dihubungkan dengan jaringan pertemanan yang dimiliki oleh pengguna jejaring sosial.
