Berikut Ini Sebab Terpuruknya Yamaha Di FP 1 dan 2 GP Sylverstone Versi Lorenzo

Memulai gelaran GP Sylverstone dengan tertatih-taih, ya itulah yang kini sedang dialami team Yamaha terutama team pabrikan. Betapa tidak FP 1 GP Sylverstone team Honda pabrikan moncer sementara Yamaha harus puas di urutan 7 dan 8 yang masing-masing ditempati Lorenzo dan Rossi. Nah di FP 2 justru keadaan makin tidak menguntungkan bagi Yamaha, bahwa Honda tetep memimpin sementara Yamaha makin terpuruk, Lorenzo hanya menempati posisi 11 sementara Rossi di urutan 13. Menanggapi hal ini Lorenzo angkat bicara.

Lorenzo mengidentifikasi bahwa keterpurukannya tersebut dikarenakan masalah ban. Ya menurutnya bannya tidak ngegrip sehingga tak bisa secepat para rider HondaBerikut statmen Lorenzo:

“We only have one problem, it seems Bridgestone has brought the same tyres that we had in the first races so we have the same problems as then,”

“We have no grip to stop the bike, no grip in the middle of the corner and no traction so we have a lot of spinning and the negative point is it creates problem on the front. No grip on the rear doesn’t give us the balance in the middle of the corner which means we have to lean less and have lower speed.”

Lorenzo menjelaskan bahwa semua Rider Yamaha mengalami hal yang sama!

“All the Yamaha riders are the same, we have similar problems.”

Kecuali tterjadi Bradley Smith yang mampu menjadi yang tercepat ke 4 di FP 1 berselisih 0.944s detik dari Marquez. Dan menurut Lorenzo itu karena dia menggunakan ban baru yang beda.

“New tyre from Bradley. If I put the new tyre I could be half a second faster but I didn’t. I used the same rear tyre for all of practice,”

Hal ini juga dinyatakan Rossi bahwa masalah utamnya adalah adanya getaran di ban utamanya saat cornering dan memang ban kurang ngegrip.Berikut Statmen Rossi!

“I didn’t have a good feeling with the bike, especially because when we entered the corner I don’t have a feeling with the front and also I have a vibration and not enough grip. I lose a lot of corner speed on entry and I was quite slow. We will continue to modify the bike in another way and we will take some data for tomorrow to try something completely different to understand if we can go faster because unfortunately the time was not enough.”
