Alasan Kijang Innova Tak Lagi Pakai Mesin Berkapasitas Mesin 1.8 Liter
Kabar Toyota Kijang Innova versi termahal, Venturer, dengan mesin 2,7 liter pupus sudah. Sebab, pabrikan asal Jepang telah membocorkan lewat brosur hanya akan menyediakan mesin bensin 1TR-FE 2,0-liter dan Diesel 2GD-FTV 2,4-liter. Di luar mesin 2,7 liter, konsumen sebenarnya banyak yang menanyakan apakah Kijang Innova juga menyediakan varian mesin 1,8 liter seperti pada generasi ketiga dan keempat.
Menanggapi hal tersebut, General Manager Vehicle Sales Operation Sub Directorate PT Toyota-Astra Motor, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto mengatakan saat ini mereka tak lagi membuat mesin berkapasitas mesin 1,8 liter.
“Karena ini global tren, 1,8 liter tidak ada lagi dan paling kami sediakan 2,0 liter atau yang lebih kecil 1,5 liter (di Avanza),” ujar Soerjo. Lebih lanjut, Soerjo menegaskan, meski mesin yang dibenamkan pada Kijang lebih besar, namun soal efisiensi bahan bakar akan lebih irit, bahkan bisa sama seperti 1,8 liter.
Tentunya, kata dia, dengan mesin 2.0 liter untuk mobil keluarga sekelas Kijang Innova dan postur besar, maka hal itu akan memberikan tenaga yang melimpah.
“Kami juga sempat lakukan riset kepada konsumen, mesin apa yang mereka mau, dan ternyata lebih memilih cc besar. Kalau emang mau beli yang lebih kecil bisa pilihan Avanza,” tutupnya.
