Motor Honda Mengadopsi Teknologi Robotik Self Balancing
Honda baru saja meluncurkan sepeda motor motor konsep self-balancing baru, pada pameran Consumer Electronics Show 2017 (CES) di Las Vegas. Disebut sebagai “Honda Riding Assist”, fitur ini bisa menjaga sepeda motor tetap berdiri tegak, pada kecepatan yang lambat. Mengutip Motorcycle.com, fitur terbaru dari Honda ini mengadopsi teknologi robotik, yang bisa membantu sepeda motor mencapai titik keseimbangannya. Ini sebenarnya merupakan evolusi dari sistem yang digunakan di Honda UNI-CUB.
Gagang kemudi pada kecepatan rendah dikontrol secara elektronik. Honda menghadirkan sebuah video demo kehebatan teknologi ini, termasuk mode self-driving yang dapat membuat sepeda motor bergerak sendiri melalui motor listrik.
Konsep ini didasarkan pada model Honda NC, namun teknologi Honda Riding Assist ini disematkan terpisah pada bagian ujung depan sepeda motor. Sehingga Honda mengklaim, kalau sistem ini secara teoritis dapat disesuaikan, untuk memenuhi setiap model yang sudah ada.
“Aplikasi ini ditujukan memberikan kenyamanan pengendara, terutama untuk membantu biker baru, di mana dengan kecepatan rendah mereka bisa seimbang. Kami juga berpikir untuk mengaplikasikan teknologi ini pada sepeda motor besar seperti Gold Wing,” ujar Tony Defranze, juru bicara Honda.
