Dukungan Penuh Dari AHM untuk Berlaga di Ajang ATC. Ya, dukungan diberikan pada 3 pebalap muda Indonesia untuk mengikuti seleksi pebalap Asia pada ajang Asia Talent Cup (ATC) di Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand. Mereka adalah Tiga pebalap muda Tanah Air lulusan Astra Honda Racing School (AHRS)., Irfan Ardiansyah, M. Erfin Firmansyah dan Lucky Hendriansya. Kini mereka telah siap menghadapi ketatnya seleksi pebalap berbakat se-Asia untuk dapat bertarung di ajang balap bergengsi ATC. Gelaran sesi pre-test untuk seleksi pebalap ATC ini digelar di di Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand (5-6/3) menggunakan Honda NSF250R.
Irfan Ardiansyah kini memasuki tahun keduanya di ATC, sementara Irfan, Lucky, dan Erfin yang baru pertama kali ikut serta di ajang ini. Yup, kini berbagai latihan intensif dilakukan dan difasilitasi PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) mulai dari persiapan dan pengetahuan teknis sehingga pebalap dapat terbiasa dengan suasana dan aturan kompetisi, hingga latihan fisik untuk menjaga stamina pebalap sampai akhir musim nanti. Selain itu, latihan para pebalap juga difokuskan pada peningkatan skill balap di lintasan menggunakan All New Honda CBR250RR dan GP Mono.
Dalam statmennya GM Marketing Planning & Analysis AHM Agustinus Indraputra menyampaikan bahwa dalam meningkatkan kompetensi anak bangsa mulai dari pembentukan, persiapan sampai dengan ajang balap adalah salah satu upaya AHM dalam menjalankan komitmen menjadikan mereka kebanggaan bagi bangsa.
Asia Talent Cup sendiri adalah ajang pencarian pebalap berbakat yang diselenggarakan oleh Dorna sang penyelenggara MotoGP dan WorldSBK. ATC diikuti oleh 22 pebalap muda berbakat dari berbagai Negara Asia seperti Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Jepang, Australia dan Turki .ATC akan menggelar 2 kali balapan dalam setiap serinya yang diadakan di Thailand (10-12/3), Qatar (23-26/3), Jepang (2-4/6), Malaysia (28-30/7), Jepang (13-15/10) dan Malaysia (27-29/10).
