Bonsaibiker.com – Mas bro sekalian. Sudah seminggu ini di medsos sedang viral modifikasi Toyota Limo yang bermuka dua ni gan. Ternyata pemilik mobil tersebut adalah seorang pemilik perusahaan taksi di Bandung yaitu Gemah Ripah gan. Dengan bentuknya yang tidak lazim tersebut, kok bisa ya kepikiran bikin mobil 2 jadi satu begitu. Ini Dia Awal Ide Modifikasi Toyota Limo Bermuka Dua Gan.
Seperti yang dilansir Kompas Otomotif, bahwa pemilik mobil tersebut adalah Roni Gunawan (71) Kepala Bengkel Gemah Ripah (GR) Taxi. Mobilnya disimpan di Garasi GR Taxi di Jalan Babakan Cibereum, Kota Bandung. Modifikasi mobil ini merupakan dua unit Vios versi taksi alias Limo produksi 2012 yang tidak lagi beroperasi. Memang sudah beberapa tahun ini, Rony mengaku bisnis taksi sulit karena bermunculan aplikasi transportasi online gan.
Ceritanya mobil modifikasi ini dikerjakan selama sekitar 3,5 bulan gan. Dan pengerjaannya diproses di bengkel Gemah Ripah di kawasan Bandung. Roni mengugkapkan bahwa Mesinnya tetap dua, transmisinya juga. Jadi cuma memotong dua kendaraan, terus dijadikan satu. Ada penambahan pelat besi di sambungan sasis dan bodi. Selain itu, juga ada siku besi yang ditambahkan di bagian lantai.
Selama 3,5 bulan, pengerjaan paling berat yaitu pengelasan karbit yang dilakukan selama dua bulan. Lalu pengecatan dan selesai.

Ia mengaku awalnya iseng-iseng aja, eh malah jadi terkenal. STNK kedua mobil itu baru selesai pada 12 Januari, dan ia mengubah warna pelat kuning bekas taksi jadi pelat hitam. Awalnya Rony mau mindahin dari bengkel ke rumah, tetapi ternyata distop polisi gan dan kena tilang.
Ia juga mengatakan bahwa kedua kokpit berfungsi normal. Dan pengemudi bebas memilih mau memegang setir sebelah mana. Syarat mengemudikannya, karena sudah ada setelan khusus di bagian tie-rod, kunci yang ada di setir tidak terpakai harus dicabut biar ban yang berperan sebagai ban belakang bisa tetap lurus. Iden awalnya karena dari melamun ternyata gan. Dua mobil tapi yang disatukan mukanya aja. Akhirnya rencana itu sebulan kemudian ia panggil tukang las ketok di bengkel, tiga orang. Merela sempet ragu dan takut gagal, tapi akhirnya dikerjain juga.
