MotoGP Motegi Jepang 2011 Terancam Ditiadakan
Boss MotoGP Carmelo Ezpeleta menyatakan bahwa bila MotoGP Motegi Jepang yang sedianya digelar akhir pekan ini lalu karena ada gempa dan tsunami di jepang kemudian diundur pada bulan Oktober, maka bila sampai Oktober nanti juga di cansel karena kondisi belum memungkinkan maka boleh jadi seri Motegi akan ditiadakan. Ya, hingga kini akan terselenggaranya race di Jepang masih diselimuti keraguan karena situasi yang masih belum menetu di Jepang. Pada dasarnya Espeletta menyerahkan keputusan ini pada panitia penyelenggara lokal di Jepang.
Ezpeletta menambahkan bahwa setidaknya kalau race digelar, maka kondisi Jepang harus 100% terbebasa dari radiasi reaktor nuklir yang kemarin sempat meledak. Keamanan menurutnya menjadi priorotas paling utama sebelum menetukan keputusan. Sepentara itu Honda’s vice-president Shuhei Nakamoto menyatakan bahwa sluruh kerusakan akibat gempa di jepang telah diperbaiki kemudain di tes oleh para pembalap, dan kini sudah normal sepertisedia kala. Wah ngeri, secara Jepang kan penymbang motor terbesar dalam gelaran ini, mosok nggak pernah jadi tuan rumah?
