Produksi Ducati Terancam Terhambat Akibat Gempa
Pabrik Ducati di Bologna, Italia, rusak akibat gempa berkekuatan 6,0 skala Richter pada akhir pekan lalu nih bro. Dalam Kompas.com Senin, 28/5/2012 tertera bahwa beberapa vendor ikut terkena gangguan alam tersebut sehingga menghambat produksi. Gempa yang melanda Italia pada 20 Mei, itu berpusat pada wilayah Emilia-Romagna di Italia Utara atau sekitar 22 km utara Bologna yang telaha menghilangkan tujuh nyawa dan ribuan tempat tinggal.
Pabrik Ducati Borgo Panigale memang tidak secara langsung terkena efek gempa bumi itu, tapi dampak paling besar dirasakan pada beberapa pemasok lokal superbike kebanggaan Italia itu. “Kami selalu melakukan kontak dengan para pemasok dan terus memantau situasinya,” jelas Gabriele Del Torchio, Ducati Chief Executive Officer.
Keprihatinan utama bagi Ducati yaitu pada produsen material Ducati, Scacchetti Foundry yang mengalami kerusakan bangunan parah dan pada TMM di Finale Emilia yang memproduksi sistem knalpot Ducati. Ferrari menawarkan untuk merelokasi pabrik Scacchetti yang memproduksi material Ferrari.
