Desainer GP Asal Jerman Herman Tilke Langsung Kerja Rehab Sentul, 2017 Jadi!?
Sebagaimana artikel yang James Bons tulis dua hari lalu, bahwa dalam rangka mewujudkan Indonesia menjadi tuan rumah MotoGP pada musim 2017 nanti, Sirkuit Sentul mulai berbenah. Pertama mendapat kunjungan resmi dari Dorna selaku promotor MotoGP pada akhir Mei, dan kemudian pekan ini arsitek sirkuit ternama asal Jerman, Hermann Tilke datang menyambangi sentul. Diapun kemudian mulai bekerja merombak desain Sentul.
Sebagai langkah awal Tilke mulai memetakan dan membuat catatan khusus untuk merenovasi Sirkuit Sentul. Menurut rancangbangunnya sekitar satu hingga satu setengah tahun Sentul akan rampung dirahab. Ia akan mengolah hasil pengamatan pertama kemudian bakal memperlihatkan hasil desainnya dalam tiga bulan mendatang.
Rancangbangun sirkuit sentul ini tidak akan sama dengan model-model di Asia lain, menurut Tilke tergantung kondisi setiap negara karena kondisi geografisnya sangat berbeda. Sebagai contoh, Marina Bay (Singapura) ada di jalanan kota, sedangkan Yas Marina (Abu Dhabi) ada di padang pasir. Nah di Indonesia ini bakal beda gan, jelasnya 3 bulan lagi bakal clear desainnya, dan dalam 1-1,5 tahun bakal rampung, sehingga pas 2017 bakal siap gelar race motoGP.
