Banjir dan Longsor Menelan 9 Nyawa dan 15 Hilang, Pray For Purworejo. Yabeberapa hari ini Pulau Jawa dilanda hujan deras di berbagai daerah, termasuk juga mengguyur bagian selatan Jawa Tengah. Dan ini ternyata mengakibatkan tebing setinggi 50 meter di Dusun Caok, Desa Karangrejo, Kecamatan Loano, Kabupaten Purworejo, longsor dan menimpa empat rumah. Sembilan orang dinyatakan meninggal dan tiga luka parah. Menurut Camat Loano Ahmad Zainudin 9 korban meninggal sudah teridentifikasi, sementara 5 warga diduga masih tertimbun longsor.
Ya, sejak Sabtu, 18 Juni 2016 kemarin, wilayah selatan Jateng dilanda hujan deras yang mengakibatkan banjir bandang dan tanah longsor. Banjir ini merata terjadi di 16 kabupaten/kota di sana. Meliputi, Purworejo, Banjarnegara, Kendal, Sragen, Purbalingga, Banyumas, Sukoharjo, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Pemalang, Klaten, Magelang, Wonogiri, Cilacap, Karanganyar, dan Kota Solo
Ngutip dari Metro jateng bahwa kini warga dibantu relawan, BPBD dan TNI Polri masih mencari para korban yang disinyalir masih tertimbun pada har ini, Minggu (19/6/2016). Sementara itu masih dari sumber yang sama, Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana menyataka bahwa mayoritas korban tewas bukanlah warga setempat.
Kronologis kejadiannya adalah ketika itu ada longsor kecil yang menghalangi jalan dan kendaraan. Melihat hal ini 3 penumpang truk turun menyingkirkan batu dan tanah, beberapa sepeda motor di belakang truk otomatis berhenti. Saat itulah mendadak terjadi longsor besar yang menimbun kendaraan dan orang di jalan tersebut dan menyebabkan 9 orang tewas tertimbun. Berikut nama-namanya:

- Muhammad Arifin (Sudimoro)
Sementara itu di kecamatan yang sama musibah serupa juga terjadi di Desa Donorati Kecamatan Purworejo, dimana 15 orang hilang. Sementara di Desa Sidomulyo dan Pacekelan. Terjadi longsor di Sidomulyo yang menewaskan satu orang dan 4 warga belum ditemukan. Adapun longsor di Desa Pacekelan, menyebabkan satu orang tewas. Di Kecamatan lain masih di Purworejo ternyata juga mengalami musibah yang sama juga, yakni di Desa Jelog, Kecamatan Kaligesing, dimana dua orang hilang. Puluhan rumah tertimbun longsor.
Sementara itu selain tanah Longsor, banjir bandang yang terjadi karena luapan Sungai Bogowonto di Kabupaten Purworejo mengakibatkan 4 orang tewas dan 2 hilang. 2 warga Desa Meranti, 2 lainnya warga Desa Tangkisan dan Desa Bagelen. Banjir juga menghayutkan dua orang di Desa Berjan dan Desa Bagelen.
Data terakhir dari laporan BPBD ke Posko BNPB (Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana), musibah banjir dan tanh longsor ini selain menlean korban jiwa, juga menyebabkan puluhan rumah rusak tertimbun longsor dan ribuan rumah terendam banjir.
