Pesawat Wing Air Tergelincir di Semarang. Sebuah kabar musibah datang dari semarang gan, bahwa sejak kemarin malam bandara Ahmad Yani Semarang ditutup sementara sejak Minggu (25/12/2016) mulai pukul 18.24 WIB. Berdasarkan keterangan Kepala Bagian Humas dan Kerjasama Ditjen Perhubungan Udara Agoes Subagio menuturkan penutupan tersebut sehubungan dengan tergelincirnya psawat Wing Airi. Manajemen bandara memberi kesempatan pada petugas dan tim dari KNKT untuk memindahkan pesawat ATR 72-600 Wings Air yang mengalami overshoot di runway 13. Bandara dijadwalkan dibuka kembali pada pukul 15.40 UTC (22.40 WIB), Minggu (25/12/2016).Pergeseran slot dan penundaan penerbangan (delay) pastinya bakal terjadi gan, untuk penerbangan baik dari ataupun menuju Bandara Ahmad Yani, Semarang. Sementara beberapa pesawat yang akan masuk saat itu dan pindah mendarat ke bandara lain (divert) di antaranya: GIA 244 (kembali ke Jakarta), KAL 966 (divert ke Surabaya, dan Wing1803 (divert Surabaya). Adapun pesawat yang bakal berangkat dan tertunda yakni SLK 103 tujuan Singapura.
Ya, sejakmalem kemarin ramai diberitakan bahwa pesawat ATR 72-600 Wings Air dengan nomor penerbangan IW 1896 yang berangkat dari Bandara Husein Sastranegara, Bandung tujuan Bandara Achmad Yani Semarang, dipiloti Capt George Tarun Rajan mengalami overshoot di Bandara Ahmad Yani. Crash terjadi di dekat Taxiway D pasca landing dari arah runway 13 pada pukul 18.24 WIB. Karena pesawat berada di runway pstinya menghalangi operasional pesawat lain baik yang mau landingmaupun tak off.
