Untuk kesekian kalinya AHM mengirim anak muda binaannya keajang kejuaraan ni GAn. Tapi kali ini AHM mengirim dua pebalap muda binaannya ikut serta pada kejuaraan Honda Thailand Talent Cup 2017, dan ini baru pertama kalinya di negara itu. Berbekal ilmu balap yang diperoleh di Astra Honda Racing School (AHRS), Mario Suryo Aji (13 tahun) dan M Adenanta Putra (13 tahun) dipercaya AHM mengikuti Honda Thailand Talent Cup 2017 dengan memacu Honda NSF250R bersama 12 pebalap muda berbakat lainnya. Balap pertama kedua anak bangsa tersebut akan berlangsung di sirkuit balap yang akan menggelar MotoGP tahun depan, Chang International Circuit, Buriram, Thailand (16-17/9).
A Indraputra General Manager Marketing Planning & Analysis Division AHM mengatakan bahwa keikutsertaan ini adalah kesempatan penting bagi pebalap untuk segera mematangkan kemampuannya sehingga dapat segera bersaing ke level yang lebih tinggi. AHM yakin pebalap Indonesia punya potensi untuk dapat meraih mimpi sampai ke level MotoGP dan menjadi kebanggaan bangsa. Melalui keikutsertaan dalam Honda Thailand Talent Cup 2017AHM ini juga berupaya memberikan ruang yang semakin luas untuk mempertajam kompetensi pebalap binaannya. Pengalaman pebalap muda Indonesia ini diharapkan dapat menempa skill balap mereka secara bertahap dalam perjalanannya meraih mimpi ke arena MotoGP.
Mariopun mengatakan bahwa ia senang mendapatkan kesempatan ini. Ia akan memakai kesempatan ini untuk memaksimalkan ilmu yang saya dapat di Astra Honda Racing School dan mencari pengalaman sebanyak-banyaknya. Ia berharap melalui kejuaraan ini, skill balapnya dapat semakin terasah dan dapat memberikan prestasi membanggakan untuk bangsa.
Potensi pebalap AHRS ini juga terlihat saat dipercaya bermain pada ajang balap bergengsi di Tanah Air. Pada Agustus lalu, Mario berhasil menemani prestasi para pebalap Astra Honda Racing Team berkompetisi di ajang Kejuaran Nasional 250cc. Pada ajang kejurnas tersebut, secara mengejutkan Mario berhasil menyisihkan pebalap-pebalap lain yang telah banyak memiliki pengalaman balap dan finis di urutan keempat.
Langkah ini merupakan bagian dari upaya AHM untuk semakin memperluas dan memperkuat pembinaan dasar pebalap muda Indonesia menuju jenjang balap yang lebih tinggi di tingkat internasional. Keikutsertaan kedua pebalap muda Tanah Air ini diharapkan dapat semakin meningkatkan kompetensi balapnya di tengah atmosfer persaingan balap tingkat internasional.
