Sejarah Mitusishi Eterna
Mas bro, saat itu di indonesia tengah dipasarkan sedan Mitsubishi Galant yakni Galant I. Namun konon karena kurang laku maka diluncurkanlah Galant II yang mengalami facelift sekaligus berganti nama, menjadi Eterna. Mobil ini tetap pake body Galant II, dan menghadirkan dengan beberapa pembaruan.
Yakni membawa mesin 2000 cc 5 percepatan plus Power steering, Electric Mirror, Power window, Central lock, dan Reclining back seat. Ini fitur-fitur keren waktu itu mas bro. Namun mas bro meski Mitsubishi melakukan penggantian nama, namun ternyata belum mengangkat penjualan.
Akhirnya mas bro mobil ini cuman dipasarkan selama satu tahun lebih. Tahun 1988 Eterna Super Exceed stop produksi dengan facelift terakhir berupa velg aluminium krom dengan desain piringan lubang-lubang kecil.
Mitsubishi kemudian hadirkan Eterna dengan mesin 2000 cc DOHC 16 valve GTI dan versi SOHC. Kali ini, Mitsubishi sukses menggebrak pasar dengan penjualan yang cukup bagus. Eterna disebut sanggup bersaing dengan Toyota Corona dan Honda Accord.
Selanjutnya hingga 5 tahun masa produksi dan pemasaran masih berjaya. Mitsubishi Eterna terbaru itu mendapatkan sejumlah facelift. Termasuk saat versi transmisi otomatis pada 1991 untuk versi DOHC.
Selanjutnya tahun 1993, Mitsubishi menghadirkan nama Galant. Hadir dengan 2 model yakni Galant VR dan Galant V6.
