Total korban dalam kecelakaan ini adalah 2 orang warga Palembang meninggal dunia dan satu orang masih dalam perawatan.

Kecelakaan maut kembali terjadi di Jalan Tol Trans Sumatera tepatnya di Ruas Tol Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung (Terpeka) KM 169 pada Minggu (20/12/2020) sekitar pukul 16.12 WIB.
Akibat kecelakaan itu, dua orang warga Palembang meninggal dunia dan satu orang masih dalam perawatan.
Kronologis kejadian kendaraan mobil tersebut melaju dari arah Lampung menuju Palembang, Sumatera Selatan.
Sampai di lokasi kejadian, ban mobil Suzuki Splash dengan plat nomor kendaraan BG 1057 UA pecah, Akibatnya pengemudi hilang kendali dan terperosok ke tepi jalan dan hampir masuk ke saluran air.

Kemudian sebagaimana dishare dari berbagai median Branch Manager PT Hutama Karya Ruas Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang-Kayu Agung Yoni Satyo Wisnuwardhono mangkat bicara. Mnurutnya mobilSuzuki Splash tersebut melaju dari arah Lampung menuju Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. Nah ketika tiba di lokasi kejadian, ban mobil Suzuki Splash dengan plat nomor kendaraan BG 1057 UA ini pecah.
Selanjutnya bisa diprediksi, mobil inipun hilang kendali. Selanjutnya mobil terperosok di Right of Way (ROW) atau lebar badan jalan lalu terguling. Mobil posisi akhir kendaraan kabin menghadap selatan dan posisi roda kanan diatas.
Pasca insiden maut ini berlangsung, korban meninggal dunia kemudian dievakuasi ke Rumah Sakit Demang Terbanggi Besar. Sementara itu korban yang menderita luka berat dan luka ringan selanjutnya dievakuasi ke RS Harapan Bunda Bandar Jaya.
Insiden maut ini kemudian ditangani oleh Divisi Operasi dan Pemeliharaan Jalan Tol Hutama Karya selaku pengelola ruas Tol Terpeka. Kemudian juga dibantu oleh pihak kepolisian daerah setempat.
