Terlihat dari rekaman cctv tersebut, seorang pengendara tiba-tiba terjatuh bersama motor matiknya yang disusul dengan empat pria yang merupakan para pelaku begal. Korban sempat ingin melawan dengan berusaha menakut nakuti. Namun saat begal lain turun dari motor, pelaku tidak berani melawan. Sehingga motor matik milik korbanpun berhasil dibawa keempat pelaku begal tersebut.

Dari keterangan postingan video tersebut diketahui bahwa aksi begal itu terjadi di Jalan Jamin Ginting, Simpang Kampus USU pada Jumat (23/7/2021) sekitar pukul 01.25 WIB dini hari. Korban awalnya terjatuh bersama sepeda motornya setelah ditendang oleh salah satu pelaku begal. Korban sempat melawan, namun setelah pelaku begal mengeluarkan senjata tajam, korban tidak berani mengambil tindakan apapun selain mundur. Akhirnya pelaku langsung membawa motor milik korban.
