Yup, bikeadvice memberi alasan bahwa efek r 25 lah yang menyebabkan harga CBR 250 turun, yakni:

“Yamaha already has had a bumper start to the sales of R25 as it registered 2800 bookings within 25 hours of it going on sale. The new CBR250R produces a 3PS increased power output of 29PS and 23 Nm of torque from its 249cc single cylinder engine. It also gets the proper ‘CBR’ looks with those new dual headlamps. In comparison, Yamaha R25 comes with an in-line dual cylinder 249cc 36PS 22.9Nm liquid cooled engine. Reduced price of new CBR250R starts at Rs 46.8 million IDR against 53 million IDR of R25

Bahwa dalam 25 jam saja R 25 mampu terindent sebanyak 2800 motor, makanya menurut web tersebut Honda menurunkan harga CBR 250. Hal senada juga disampaikan motorbeam:

“The Yamaha R25 is surely making waves in Indonesia just days after its launch. The much awaited quarter-litre sports bike clocked in 2800 bookings within 25 hours of its launch. Karena model ini diimpor utuh (CBU) dari Thailand, maka nilai tukar dollar AS sangat rentan terhadap harga jual. “Koreksi harga CBR250R terutama karena penurunan nilai tukar dollar AS, tadinya di atas Rp 12.000, kini sudah bertengger di kisaran Rp 11.500 per dollar AS.”
